We have assembled one of the most experienced not-for-profit auditing teams in the region. The team leadership has more than 30 years combined experience providing auditing and financial consulting services in the public sector.

We realize that our most important asset is our people and that attracting and retaining high caliber employees is the key to success in any organization. We take pride in the fact that we are able to commit to year-to-year continuity of the engagement team assigned to your business. Our clients have told us that they appreciate our lack of engagement team turnover and enjoy having an engagement team who is knowledgeable of their industry and their own unique operations.

The Partners directing the Public Sector Group bring decades of experience to serve the needs of our Not-for-Profit clients, and each team member has experience working with Not-for-Profit organizations, including those with large investment portfolios and endowments. We believe that the use of experienced professionals during all segments of the engagement is critical to the performance of an efficient and effective audit.

Our professionals have handled some of the most sophisticated not-for-profit engagements of any firm our size. A significant portion of our practice is devoted to serving clients in the public sector. Our people receive a minimum of 50 hours of continuing technical training each year. In addition, we subscribe to all publications issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and receive timely alerts to ensure we understand how the regulatory environment impacts our practice or our clients. In addition, through the BDO Alliance, we have access to national level  Not-for-Profit resources.
